Listening to You: The New Developer Feedback System
"Can I ask you a quick question?"
We've all seen those annoying popups that block your screen right when you're in the middle of a complex bug. They are the enemy of flow.
But as a platform, we need your feedback to improve.
The Dilemma: Data vs. Flow
We wanted to know: Did the AI generate good code? Was the response fast enough? * Did the "Help" button actually help?
But we refused to break your concentration to ask.
Our Solution: The "Polite" Feedback Agent
We introduced a new Developer Feedback System that follows a strict "Code of Conduct":
- 1Rate Limiting: We strictly limit questions. You will never see more than 2 prompts a day, or 4 a week. If you answer one, we leave you alone for a while.
- 2Context Aware: We don't ask when you are typing. We wait for "natural breaks"—like after a build finishes or when you close a tab.
- 3One Click: No long surveys. Just a simple "Thumbs Up/Down" and optional tag (e.g., "Inaccurate", "Slow").
Measuring What Matters
We are now tracking metrics that actually impact your day: Response Quality: Are we solving the problem? Latency Perception: Does it feel slow, even if the logs say it's fast? Feature Gaps:* What are you trying to do that we don't support yet?
Your Voice, Our Roadmap
This data goes directly to our product roadmap. Already, early feedback has driven the Help Button Optimization (released this week) and the Thai Localization effort.
So next time you see a small, polite popup asking "How was that?", know that it's not a bot—it's us, listening.
